Diagnosis and treatment in children with Nutcracker Syndrome: Single-center experience

Objective: It has been aimed to report the experience of our center regarding diagnosis and treatment in children with Nutcracker syndrome (NCS). Materials Methods: The medical records seven patients who have admitted Department Pediatric Nephrology hospital between February 2017 March 2020 were evaluated retrospectively. NCS was confirmed renal Doppler ultrasound (RDUS) magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) these complaints hematuria proteinuria. patient data such as clinical characteristics, radiological findings, signs information about applied at baseline last control examination recorded. Results: mean levels 24-h urine protein excretion all 15,25±9,19 mg/m2/h 9,8±3,94 mg/m2/h, respectively. treated ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor 20±11,53 9,6±6,44 (p=0,073). 11.7±6.39 9.95±1.84 not receiving treatment, respectively (p= 0,61). angle value left vein aortomesenteric distance measured by RDUS performed upright position 14,71±4,46 degrees. anteroposterior diameter (hilar/aortomesenteric) 6,4. Conclusion: benign nature young requires maintaining conservative approach.
